About Liddell Dunbar

Liddell Dunbar is a results focussed training organisation who deliver Business Development Skills and Strategies, and uniquely, works solely with professional services providers.

The company was formed by Terry Dunbar and Margaret Liddell, both of whom have a wealth of experience in the sales of financial concepts to board level.

They have used their years of business to business sales, and sales management experience to develop a complete suite of training courses whose whole ethos is to create measureable sustainable business gains for professional services firms.

Liddell Dunbar has been delivering training courses to the professional services sector since 1994, and as such has built a solid understanding of the challenges the sector faces when going to market. It also has a deep understanding of operational aspects of firms within the sector.

This knowledge means that the training is well received by delegates because all sessions have great relevance to their arena, and the course facilitators are able to "speak the same language", truly understanding the issues delegates face both internally and out in the marketplace.

When designing the training modules, it was the main thrust that the output of all training sessions must be to ensure delegates could produce measurable business gains by using their newly found skills.

To this end the courses were developed to use a combination of:

  • Education about the whole business development process and where that particular module sits within it and why
  • Skill development through breaking down business development concepts into manageable, easily learnable sections, dismissing myths around what selling actually is
  • Role play to create habits, which once instlled, will be able to be easily repeated out in the market
  • Confidence building brought about by achieving success, using skills developed through a combination of all of the above

In addition, to aid delegates in their development, a post course mentoring service is available to all delegates.
